Manaslu Circuit Trek

Upon arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport, Kathmandu, you will be warmly welcomed and transferred to your hotel. After check-in, you can rest from your journey or explore the nearby streets. In the evening, there will be a short briefing about the Manaslu Circuit Trek, including itinerary details and preparations. Overnight stay in Kathmandu.

After breakfast, depart Kathmandu and drive through scenic landscapes, rivers, and traditional villages to reach Machha Khola, the starting point of the trek. The journey is long but offers beautiful views of the Himalayan foothills and rural Nepalese life. Upon arrival, check in to a teahouse and rest for the night in Machha Khola.

Begin your trek from Machha Khola, following the Budhi Gandaki River through lush forests, suspension bridges, and small villages. The trail gradually ascends to Jagat (1,410 m), offering glimpses of terraced fields and traditional Nepalese rural life. Overnight stay in a teahouse at Jagat.

Leave Jagat and continue trekking along the Budhi Gandaki River, passing through small villages, terraced fields, and dense forests. The trail gradually climbs, offering beautiful views of the surrounding hills and mountains, before reaching Dyang (1,800 m). Overnight stay in a teahouse at Dyang.

From Dyang, the trail ascends through forests, terraced fields, and traditional villages, offering panoramic views of the surrounding Himalayan peaks. Pass through local settlements and experience the culture of ethnic communities along the way before arriving at Namrung (2,660 m). Overnight stay in a teahouse at Namrung.

The trek from Namrung climbs steadily through terraced fields, pine forests, and traditional villages. Along the way, enjoy views of Manaslu and surrounding Himalayan peaks. Arrive at Shyala (3,500 m), a remote village offering authentic cultural experiences and spectacular mountain scenery. Overnight stay in a teahouse at Shyala.

Start the day with a visit to Pungyen Monastery, an important spiritual site of the region. After exploring the monastery, continue trekking through alpine landscapes, passing through traditional villages and terraced fields. Arrive at Samagaun (3,585 m), a picturesque village with stunning views of Mount Manaslu. Overnight stay in a teahouse at Samagaun.

Spend the day acclimatizing with a hike from Samagaun to Manaslu Base Camp (4,800 m). The trail offers stunning views of Mount Manaslu, Himlung Himal, and surrounding peaks, passing through glacial moraines and high-altitude landscapes. Return to Samagaun in the evening to rest and prepare for the higher-altitude trekking ahead. Overnight stay in a teahouse at Samagaun.

From Samagaun, the trail ascends gradually through alpine landscapes, passing small villages and rugged terrain. Arrive at Dharmasala (Larkya La Phedi, 4,460 m), a resting point before the challenging Larkya La Pass. Overnight stay in a teahouse at Dharmasala, allowing your body to acclimatize for the high-altitude crossing ahead.

Today is the most challenging day of the trek. Begin early and cross the Larkya La Pass (5,106 m), the highest point of the Manaslu Circuit, offering breathtaking panoramic views of surrounding peaks and glaciers. After the summit, descend through rocky trails to reach Bhimthang (3,790 m), a high-altitude plateau village. Overnight stay in a teahouse at Bhimthang.

Descend from Bhimthang, passing through alpine meadows, forests, and traditional villages along the Budhi Gandaki Valley. The trail gradually lowers in altitude, offering beautiful mountain and valley views as you approach Gho (2,550 m). Overnight stay in a teahouse at Gho.

From Gho, continue descending through forests, terraced fields, and small villages along the Budhi Gandaki River. Reach Dharapani or Besishahar Bazar (1,910 m), the endpoint of the trek. This final day offers scenic valley views and a chance to reflect on your journey through the Manaslu Circuit. Overnight stay in a teahouse or hotel.

Descend from Dharapani (1,910 m) to Besisahar (760 m), passing through terraced fields and local villages. From Besisahar, board a vehicle for a scenic drive back to Kathmandu (224 km). Enjoy views of rivers, hills, and rural landscapes along the way. Upon arrival, check in to your hotel and relax after completing the Manaslu Circuit Trek. Overnight stay in Kathmandu.
