Island Peak Climbing is one of Nepal’s most popular mountaineering adventures, ideal for energetic and physically fit climbers with a passion for exploration.

Standing at 6,189 meters above sea level, Island Peak is locally known as Imja Tse. The name “Island Peak” was given by English mountaineer Eric Shipton in 1951. It is aptly named, as the peak rises isolated in the center, surrounded by glaciers flowing from towering mountains above 7,000 m and 8,000 m.
