It is suitable for physically fit and experienced trekkers. While technical climbing is not required, proper acclimatization and preparation are essential.
The ideal seasons are pre-monsoon (March to May) and post-monsoon (late September to November). During these periods, the weather is generally stable, the skies are clear, and mountain views are spectacular. Winter treks are possible but extremely cold with heavy snow.
No prior mountaineering experience is required to complete the trek itself. However, if you plan to climb Island Peak as part of the itinerary, basic climbing experience or prior training is highly recommended. Guides and equipment are provided to ensure safety during the climb.
